January is by far my favourite month for discovering, devouring and indulging in all things new music. It’s a time when the big boys usually go on their holidays and allow that window of opportunity to let the underdogs shine through and compete for the coveted “Ones to Watch” lists found in every blog, publication, radio station and more.

Im partial to a mixed bag of genres and acts so I thought it best to put together a monthly Spotify playlist to show support to those who kept me and my ears company this last month.

There’s everything from my favourite new grime queen to the mysterious guitar crooner and of course a cheeky bit of Craig David (it would be rude not to).
